Complaint - DNA £75 - E Coakes - very dissatisfied customer
I am absolutely appalled at the sheer lack of interest that Ancestry has shown in my complaint about their shoddy service.
My husband paid his £75 in good faith, believing that he had chosen a reputable company. However, he was sorely mistaken !! It was my birthday gift.
I've never come across such lack of interest in a complaint and I have taken high level complaints for large organisations.
Ancestry didn t deliver as promised and has not offered a sincere apology, let alone the return of the monies involved plus a goodwill gesture, which is exactly what usually happens.

Well they cancelled my account but the still need to recompense me for past membership fees which I hadn't signed up for

I have been logged out of my account for one week. I'm at the end of my tether trying to log back in. I want to get back in now and want compensation.
Preferred solution: Access back to my account. I have been logged out and I never logout. When I log in, I get unknown error has occurred. Please try again all the time. I’m at the end of my tether with ancestry
Complaint - DNA £75 - E Coakes - very dissatisfied customer
I phoned your company but couldn't hold the line any longer. My husband, John Coakes, booked the DNA £75 package for my birthday and was advised that the findings would only be available in December 2024.
I tried but when I logged in, it showed 0 docs. My husband stopped the automatic payment just shortly before.
I then did the free option,
I cannot complete your Proof of Purchase, because my husband organised it, but it was in July, John Coakes. Lloyds Bank account.

I have subscribed annually to worldwide membership for the past six years and never had a problem until this morning. For the past eight hours, every search I run takes me straight to private member photos/documents and I just can't back out of this collection.
I have rebooted and logged on several times, deleted the cache, etc., but whatever individual I try to search for, I am immediately taken to the same photos/documents page.
My subscription is up for renewal on 2 November, so it would be very much appreciated if this problem could be resolved. Many thanks!
Very happy with the result of my telephone call although difficult to know what number to use.
DNA paid for and sent out but I think I have activated the wrong number as I have been sent several lots.

Payment has been taken twice, and I am unable to contact customer services. The number is in the USA - it's expensive to call, and the online support hasn't been helpful at all.

Verified Reviewer |Ordering a copy of an 1886 marriage certificate
I have been an Ancestry UK member for many years. Have always been able to order copies of birth/marriage/death certificates, for a FEE, which has worked until now.
Suddenly, I am told that 'due to Privacy laws' I can no longer DO this!!
I could understand this for people still living, but NOT for a 1886 Marriage Certificate.
I am informed that I could still get such a copy if I was in London, Kew for instance, but not online. I have lived in the USA since 1977, am aged 86, so not able to visit the UK anymore.
I consider this very DISCRIMINATORY!!
I will probably cancel my subscription with great regret, after years of excellent service from you.

I’ve had the same, only £14.99 fortunately. When I emailed they requested further info to investigate, I replied but email bounced back as destination ‘unavailable’! I’ve now emailed ‘media relations’ as recommended on here, so fingers crossed
